The players in the fashion industry are on the quest to bring out something “Hot” & “New” and at times trends in fashion are considered fads and erratic disreputably. Basically, trend is the start of something newly evolving, penchant, leaning and growth line. Hence, the latest development in the fashion industry is the fashion trend. Though there are trends which are treated outdated and ludicrous, many old trends have good comebacks with set of innovative ideas.

The new millennium has covered the re-emergence of past trends where fashion items like jelly bracelets, denim jeans and pant legs being pegged are returning back to set a new fashion trend. Moreover, there are no special groups who set the trends in fashion but in fact it is “WE” consumers who throw opinion on the merchandisers and from which ideas are grabbed of.

Fashion trend cycles have different phases, where in the first cycle the trend is hunted after viewing a fashionable hat, shoe or dress on a runway, music video or red carpet. In the next stage, only big players in the industry and celebrities approach to the latest fashion which is not yet showed in the retail outlets.

During the second phase, these newbie get to appear in the media and flourish out at a lower cost but available with bit of expensive collection in new outlets and only during the third phase it comes to an affordable cost for the buyers. Most of the trends in fashion lasts nearly a year whereas some are usually accepted for a longer period.
